Fes Festival of Music | Fes, Morocco

One of Morocco’s most celebrated cultural events, the Sacred Music Festival, is held each year in the breathtaking backdrop of a UNESCO World Heritage Site in open-air venues for nine to ten days in the ancient imperial city of Fez. This festival is a profound act of cultural diplomacy, a space where Jewish and Muslim musicians revive their shared Andalusian heritage. Founded in 1994, the event brings together musicians, poets, dancers, and spiritual artists from across the globe. Brought together by the universal language of sacred sound, the event draws from all over the world — Sufi Masters, Pakistani Qawwali singers, gospel choirs, Celtic musicians, and Turkish whirling dervish performers. Beyond the music, there is also a rich program of spiritual workshops, craft exhibitions, film screenings and culinary events.
