At the world famous Carnival of Venice, the atmosphere is festive, mysterious, elegant, and the food is deeply indulgent. Dating back to the Middle Ages, the celebration was a time when social hierarchies temporarily dissolved  behind a mask: nobles and commoners mingled freely. The City’s piazzas and palazzi filled with elaborately costumed figures wearing traditional Venetian masks, with grand balls, classical concerts, and candlelit dinners along the canals. The entire atmosphere feels theatrical, romantic, and steeped in centuries of history.
